I emptied the kitchen sink by washing all the pots and pans and I fed the cats food and water. Productive day so far. I feel good.
11:59 AM. I put away all the pots and pans. It is starting to look like my kitchen. Thank you Jesus for strength.
12:10 PM. I scrubbed the stove top. It needed it. Accomplishment. I am so grateful Lord, that cleaning, it makes me feel better and the home is comfy for my beloved husband and our cats...and any guests.
12:53 PM. I washed the cutting boards and the grill. The last of the dirty dishes.
1:13 PM. I put away the cutting boards and the grill. I wiped down the counters and cleaned the kitchen sink. It had not seen day light in a long time.
1:31 PM. I swept and mopped the kitchen floor. I was mopping on my knees. A clean kitchen was a fragment of my imagination yesterday morning. Now, I have made it a reality. I am so grateful to Lord, God, Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth.
2:06 PM. I scrubbed the bath tub (has been very helpful i my healing process), scrubbed the toilet, scrubbed the sink and mopped the floor. I am glad I did not just sit on my behind all day. I feel I have accomplished something. Amazing.
3:46 PM. I went to the post office to check mail. I saw a young woman sitting by the post office. I passed her on the way in and on the way out, I asked her what a nice girl like her was doing outside. She told me that she is regretting moving from Calgary. Poor girl. I asked her even with the weather and she said yes, she was sleeping outside. I gave her most of my change. Lord have mercy.
From there I went to the passport office to confirm the counter of the lady who served me last. I did not even need to go in. I could see through the glass doors that it was counter 13. That was bugging me. From there I went to Swan's for my last errand. The home smells fresh.
4:30 PM. My beloved husband arrived home with the groceries, what a darling. He has spent time in the kitchen doing prep for today's dinner. I love my man. He says, "everything ahead of time." Isn't he neat? He worked on the mushrooms, white onion, red and yellow pepper, he grated the cheese and chopped the red pepper.
5:26 PM. My job is to produce mashed potatoes. I have just finished peeling them. I use a knife. Experience since about age five years old, not months.
Can you guess what we are cooking?
7:21 PM. I just finished mashing the potatoes. My beloved husband says I did good. He is great.
7:46 PM, we had dinner. It is Shepard's Pie. Thanks Baby.
We were taught to clean up after dinner at my mum's house.. It is a chore I have not up held for a long time. Today I have cleaned the dishes, wiped the stove top, cleaned the kitchen sink and started the dish washer. I will wake up to a clean kitchen. Only I could do for I. What an awesome day. Glory be to God. I'll keep it up.
