Of many side effects of zyprexa, antipsychotic for my bipolar, these are the ones I have had to deal with. Hopefully with a dose of 2.5 milligrams instead of 5, I should be more comfortable.

  • Bloating or swelling of the feet
  • rapid weight gain
  • restlessness
  • tingling of the hands or feet
  • trembling or shaking of the fingers, hands, feet, legs, or arms
  • burning, crawling, itching, numbness, prickling, "pins and needles", or tingling feelings
  • frequent urge to urinate
  • itching of the vagina or genital area
  • lower back pain
  • nervousness
  • fast, pounding, or irregular heartbeat or pulse
  • belching
  • difficulty having a bowel movement (stool)
  • discouragement
  • feeling sad or empty
  • increased appetite
  • indigestion
  • loss of interest or pleasure
  • runny nose
  • trouble with concentrating
  • body aches or pain
  • dry skin
  • heavy menstrual bleeding (periods)
  • leg cramps
  • high cholesterol and triglycerides (types of fat)
