Posted: Wed Jul 15, 2009 6:10 pm Hey - Long time no write...

Umm, I can't believe I haven't posted on this topic in four days.

I have been overwhelmed by people's response to my getting better. Work has offered me more shifts which I was ready for and I have a person from the club join me at the gym three days a week.

My health is the best it has ever been. In 1993 when I was told I had AIDs in Kenya, I had also just got a job as the secretary to the Chairman, Department of Human Pathology, University of Nairobi. It was the best job I had ever had. It was unreal compared to survival prostitution. I was 24 years old when I started working at the University of Nairobi. Even though I was not always on time because of sleeping in, struggling with fatigue and no medication, I worked there for three years.

Unfortunately, that is where my fourth rape happened. Whatever!

My point is, when I came to Canada after the three years working at medical school and being head over my assistant, cleaner and record's clerk, the only job I could get at first was flipping burgers. When I got fed up with the pay, I started housekeeping. With AIDS and no medication. I cleaned rich people's homes for years.

Really the point I am trying to drill home is that five half days a week is a bliss. Reason, I am more healthy than I have ever been. When I was very ill I did more work than present and today I can feel my strength even as I walk. It is amazing. I have enough energy to carry me through an active day as long as I fed the body. Food is a defense mechanism for the body. Don't forget the meds, the weed and water. Aah!

Oh, I know why I didn't write for so long, I was waiting for the laboratory date. I had 8 tubes of blood taken (such vampires). The results should be in by beginning of August and I shall willingly share the results of hard work.

In conclusion, I would like to say that it is one thing to work hard for personal reasons and it is a mind blowing experience to be appreciated by other people. *sniff* So encouraging.

Thanks Ted and yours and all...Very Happy

Everything is less stressful. Especially with how we are doing things at the PRO desk. I can feel the calm. Unreal. Otherwise it was a race before with time. Crucial. A sense of organization is back. Wow...Are these the rights forums for these kind of talk? Hmm..I think so and if not, somebody correct me. It says Hempology 101 CBC of C FORUMS...

I am working on the stain on the stove...

Cheers!

Your comments are all certainly appropriate, as the Social Lounge is meant to mimic a living room conversation. You do not need be concerned if you do not post all of the time, though it is wonderful getting to know you better through these forums.-tedsmith
