I got this correspondence in July on my email.
July 30th, 2009
Dear ..:
The people living with HIV/AIDS (PHA) Selection Committee wishes to advise you that you have been successful in your application for the September 25th-28th, 2009 PHA Leadership Training, which PAN is presenting in partnership with theOntario AIDS Network (OAN) at Loon Lake, BC.
We were thrilled with the enthusiastic response from across BC, with PAN
receiving a total of 35 applications for this, the first ever Pilot
Project PHA Leadership Training in BC. Of those applications, it fell to
the Committee to select 18, with your application among those chosen.
Congratulations!
I am very glad to be doing this leadership course as it will add to my skills as an educator and front desk worker as well as an activist here at CBC of C.
I insisted that the organizers tell me about their policy for medical marijuana and this was their response.
Medicinal marijuana: Loon Lake asks that you please bring, as a precautionary measure because of other people that use the facility, a doctor’s note (if you have one). Loon Lake asks that guests needing to smoke marijuana for medicinal purposes to please go up by the rock climbing, high ropes low ropes course. The staff at Loon Lake would be more than happy to point out this location upon your arrival. Your cooperation and understanding with this is appreciated. Just a reminder, as outlined in the Code of Conduct (attached to this email), that recreational use, sharing or selling of drugs and alcohol, is not permitted.
Fair enough. Better than I thought actually.
Happy learning to me. See everybody on Tuesday. Will miss you. Be good, I'll try to be.
...
Very Happy
