The Leadership Development workshop over the weekend was successful. We were told we might not be well received when we got back because of our knowledge. I don't know who they were talking about because I have been well received. Might have caused a bit of intimidation. Someone asked me if they have to start listening to me. We all listen to each other and that is why we ROCK as a team. I come back in peace.
I am not afraid to be a leader and everyone is a leader. Sometimes I take the front line and sometimes I lead from behind the scenes.
This is my idea of a competent leader and it really describes Ted. He guides us on what to do when need be and he does not get into our face throughout our performance.
When asked to choose a quote that describes a good leader, I chose this one with Ted in mind.
"The best leader is one who has sense enough to pick good (people) to do what he wants done, and the self restraint to keep from meddling with them while they do it." Theodore Rooseveet.
We had fun too.
On the last night we lit a fire and threw into it sugar from the small sugar sachets. We said out loud what we were leaving behind. I left behind my immigration issues. Most people left fear behind. I was amazed.

Nice to be back.
Cheers everybody...
